Manhattan
Right, looking north toward mid-Manhattan, Central Park, and Times Square.

Left, looking almost due south, toward where the twin towers once stood. You can just pick out the Statue of Liberty in the bay.

Sadly, the Empire State Building is now the tallest in New York. This is the one tourist site, other than the Statue of Liberty, that is a must see. I have to say we enjoyed the panoramic view from the observation deck on the 86th floor.

At right, the Chrysler Building, looking northeast from the tower.
Left, looking west toward New Jersey across the river. Just below, you can see Madison Square Garden with a semi-circle peaking from behind a building. Behind Madison Square Garden, you can see Penn Station.
